While rooted in the classic singer/songwriter tradition, Thea Stapnes could also be counted among those who let themselves be inspired by the electronic gizmos and multitude of opportunities of the current music scene.
In February 2015 she released the single 'Run', which was recommended by and aired on national public broadcasting NRK P3 and listed for several weeks by NRK P13. It was also aired as Simon Raymonde's 'single of the week' on Amazing Radio, UK.
In the summer of 2015, Thea went to Lydriket Studio, Bergen, to record the new single ’Follow The River’, this time in collaboration with Øystein Skar and Odd Martin Skålnes. 'Follow The River' was released 17 February 2016. It was premiered on 'The Line of Best Fit' and 730.no.
Early 2016 Thea got to the finals of the renowned Norwegian music competition ‘Musikkprisen'. The summer of 2016 she also played at 'Slottsfjell', one of the biggest music festivals in Norway.
Thea is currently writing and recording new music.
